Introduction

University of Nebraska at Kearney students will be ready for an aviation career from the highest quality collegiate program in the country. The Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Systems Management includes a core grouping of aviation, technical, and business courses, as well as your choice of two emphasis areas.

In the Flight Operations emphasis, you will be prepared for a career as a commercial pilot. After completing the degree requirements for the Flight Training program, you will have the opportunity to earn your private pilot’s license, as well as be prepared for the instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and flight instructor certificates, and ratings.

In the Aviation Support Services emphasis, you will be provided all the preparation necessary to be a manager in any of the numerous aviation-related industries. The Aviation Support Services emphasis provides all the career preparation necessary to be a manager in the aviation industry. Graduates have found themselves working as air traffic controllers, airport managers, and aviation insurance representatives.
