In your first year with YUFE, you'll begin your bachelor's studies at your chosen university to build a common foundation in urban sustainability through a mix of on-site and online courses.​ Continuing your studies, you can personalise your curriculum, depending on your three chosen minors. At least two of these minors will have to be taken at a partner university, allowing you to travel to a minimum of two partner universities.

Sustainable Material Solutions with SUMA The SUMA master’s program aims to train tomorrow’s resource engineers to work collaboratively in a global world, gathering together some of the best educational programs in the field of sustainable materials engineering in Europe. The goal is to ensure young scientists obtain a solid background in chemistry and physics, with competencies for designing and tailoring new material systems for specific functions and with a specific view to the sustainability of processes and technologies in the field of material development.

Our intensive programme examines the multi-faceted challenges facing contemporary human settlements worldwide while helping you develop a critical and interpretative approach toward your own position within the field.

The Advanced Master of Globalisation and Development approaches the phenomenon of globalisation from an eclectic perspective, considering both the opportunities it creates and threats it poses to development and poverty alleviation in low and middle-income countries, at both the national and local levels.

The Master of Water Resources Engineering addresses water-related issues in developed and developing countries, with a focus on problems in the latter. The general program objective is to educate professionals and scientists who contribute effectively to the development and management of water resources on both a local and global scale.
