The goal of the Ph.D. Program in Economics is to provide training to individuals to become high-quality researchers in line with international standards. Our aim is for our graduates to be able to successfully compete for employment at Universities, research institutions, public policy organizations, and the private sector. In addition to this, it aims to create a dynamic research community at the University of Cyprus that will also raise the level of economic research in Cyprus and infuse public debate on economic policy with scientific methods and rigorous analysis.

The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) department at AUB-M teaches and researches from a multidisciplinary perspective the social, economic, and political issues and challenges facing our world in general and the eastern Mediterranean in particular. Research wise, the department is focused on supporting and promoting multidisciplinary projects, themes, and initiatives that combine the three disciplines. Educationally, the PPE department offers a PPE degree that combines the rigorous tools and theories of political science and economics with normative philosophical analysis, to foster broader vision and critical understanding of our institutions, practices, and policies at local, regional, and international levels. The department provides foundational courses in each of the three disciplines as well as a unique set of gateway, bridging, and capstone courses designed for the PPE degree. After graduating, the PPE degree opens pathways for its alumni in graduate studies in various disciplines (development studies, economics, political science, international affairs, and moral/political philosophy). It also trains, equips, and prepares its alumni for careers in public service, political science, international organizations, and business. The Postgraduate Study Programs MSc in Data Analytics and Financial Technology is a joint Inter-university Degree Study Programs between the Department of Administrative Science and Technology and Department of Accounting and Finance of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (GR) and the Department of Accounting and Finance and Department of Computer Science of Neapolis University Pafos. It leads to a joint Master’s Degree of Studies of the two Higher Education Institutions without requiring a recognition process by D.O.A.T.A.P. The Programs is aimed primarily at graduates of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and Computer Science.

The Distance Learning Postgraduate Study Programme MSc in Forensic Accounting is a joint Inter-university Degree Study Programme between the Department of Accounting and Finance of the University of Western Macedonia (GR) and the Department of Accounting and Finance of Neapolis University Pafos. The course focuses on two interrelated areas a) fraud deterrence, avoidance and examination and b) internal audit.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics prepares students for employment in a variety of business or government positions, and for continued study in graduate schools in economics, business, and other fields. This program analyses how scarce resources are allocated, emphasizing the importance of making choices between competing alternatives.

The Master of Sciences in Accounting and Finance provides a comprehensive and rigorous treatment of key areas of accounting and finance. Its main objective is to provide you with a thorough understanding of finance and accounting concepts and their application within various types of businesses entities.

The PhD degree is granted after successful completion of a doctoral dissertation, which must be a new and substantial contribution to the relevant academic literature. The Dissertation must be defended orally before a 5-member faculty committee. The minimum time required for the completion of a PhD is three years, and the minimum time required for the completion of the doctoral dissertation is two years.

This Master programme is designed to provide graduates with formal education on contemporary Risk Management and its natural extensions to Crisis and Emergency Management.

The proposed postgraduate programme-Master of Science in Data Analysis and Financial Technology responds to the specialised needs created by modern and classical methods of financing and managing capital resources of corporate organisations, modern financial instruments, banking needs and methods, and public involvement for raising and offering resources. The MSc in Behavioural Economics is offered jointly by the Department of Economics and the Department of Psychology. It is designed to prepare students for career paths that require the analysis of human behavior (product/service design, human resources management, policy-making, etc.)

The Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Law and International Taxation offers all the necessary know-how for the delivery of sound financial law and tax advice to clients for operations and transactions at both local and international levels.
