The study program is designed for graduates in bachelor degree programs Coach or Fitness Coach primarily. Actual trends in the area of organization and planning of performance coaching are introduced to the students. The content of the study is built on the current level of knowledge in a wide area of applied sport sciences (eg. physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, performance diagnostics, and psychology). An important part of the content is the methodology of research in various sports. Students develop their "soft skills" during the study. The graduates will find employment in the area of performance coaching or in applied research in sport science.

All the students in the area of Physical Education and Sport have been educated and prepared so far for the career of physical education teachers. The aim of the Programme is to prepare experts in the area of sports training with coaching and methodical, psychological, social, diagnostic, and intervention competencies in all levels of sport such as a professional one within their chosen branch of sport, sport for everyone and health reason physical activity programs. The graduates are expected to be experts in the theoretical designing of training programs, their application to the practical form of training using the didactic interaction with a specific group of population.

The study program is implemented within the scientific field of Kinanthropology. Research in Kinanthropology deals with the complex effects of intentional and spontaneous physical activity on the development of human personality in the bio-psycho-social context and conditions of the environment of physical education and sport, physiotherapy, health physical education, including their effective management. Kinanthropology, therefore, represents an interdisciplinary field requiring variability of the approach to solving research problems, in which a systemic approach with an accent on methodology has long been emphasized.
