The economics science program studies how people interact with things of value. Specifically, the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. Economics focuses on the behavior and interactions of economic agents and how economies work. Economics is a science because it can be approached scientifically and its theories can be tested. However, economists are not scientists but technicians, who need to continually delve into laws and rules by interpreting their meaning for the best application in economics and finance.

Established in 2018, the Caucasus School of Economics has the mission to implement modern attitudes and values of economic science and to prepare highly qualified specialists. The School also brings up specialists in different sub-disciplines in economics, such as Micromacro-Economic theory, Experimental and Applied Economics, Economic policies (social, innovative, investment, industrial), Health Economics, Fiscal and Monetary Economics, Public Sector Economics, Demography and Urban Economics.

The Master Course aims to train people with law degrees, to become a specialized professional in the field of financial regulation. The course combines the traditional training of a lawyer with economic and financial skills typical of graduates in Economic and Business Sciences. The students will also be able to understand the legal and economic impact of recent technological developments in the financial sector (fintech).

Second semester of a two-semester sequence of empirical techniques used in economic analysis. Statistical concepts are presented and applied to a variety of economic problems. Extensive use of the statistical software package STATA is made.
