The Master of Science (MSc) is a two-year degree which encompasses both coursework and research. The first year involves mainly coursework and preliminary research preparation. Students will have the opportunity to contribute to existing fields of research, or to begin to develop new areas.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) is a three-year undergraduate degree which enables each student to develop his or her own interests in a science subject (science major) and related subjects. Students have the flexibility to combine their major subject with other science subjects, as well as subjects from other disciplines across the University.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) is a one-year program which builds on an undergraduate science degree. The diploma encompasses both papers and a research topic, and can be taken full-time. It provides possible to the Master of Science (MSc) degree by thesis only.

This allows you to maintain a broad base to your study, complemented by elective practical and theory courses that develop your personal interests and strengths.

Students majoring in Environmental Studies develop the necessary skills to prepare submissions to local/central government authorities and understand the processes that affect local and national environmental development.
